Katherine Corich
Sysdoc Southwark Netball League

Sysdoc has recently sponsored a netball team in London. The school is called St Saviour’s and St Olave’s, and is located in Southwark, SE London. It backs onto the biggest housing estates in England. Many of the pupils come from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds and a whole range of ethnicities.

In the face of adversity the school is now performing consistently well in its academic results and has recently achieved an Outstanding rating from Ofsted - the UK schools inspection board.

Before Sysdoc provided the school with netball kits, the girls had to play in their own clothes - this would sometimes cause embarrassment, which in turn impacted on the attitude of the team as a whole. In addition, Sysdoc have provided trophies for the winners of the newly named Sysdoc Southwark Netball League.

At the end of last term, our three teams had performed above all expectations: Year 9 came 2nd in the league, Year 7 came 3rd and Year 8 won, taking the winner’s trophy!

Katherine is a keynote speaker at the UK Institute of Directors (IOD) Young Directors Conference in Manchester on 25 May.

Sysdoc is a bronze sponsor of the New Zealand Sharepoint Conference 2010 to be held in Wellington on 9-10 June.

Sysdoc have been named the Opportunity Now Agile Organisation 2010!!!

We are delighted to announce that Sysdoc have been named the Opportunity Now Agile Organisation 2010!!!

The award was presented to us by Alison Platt, Director of BUPA, at an awards ceremony in East London on Wednesday night.

The other finalists in our category were KPMG & National Grid. This is a wonderful achievement for Sysdoc particularly in light of the other finalists and it really highlights the calibre of our organisation!

Sysdoc won the award based on a case study which examines how Sysdoc has created a work culture which embraces flexibility. It discusses our organisational values and how they revolve around superb customer service, leadership through excellence and by example, commitment to the growth of its people, support for their families and nurturing teams.

Here is the link to the Opportunity Now web site which gives more detail about the award:
